01 / BOUNDARIES IN THE SCHEMATIC
Check readability, installation and operation.
The diagram shows the view through shop-window glass, air around the display and service access. Choose a check to highlight the relevant location.
01Read prices through shop-window glass
Viewers look through the shop-window glass at the display. Reflections, viewing angle, text size and sunglasses affect whether they can read prices. The display’s brightness figure alone does not establish readability from the queue.
Next check: display the planned prices and text. Record the viewing position, time of day and information that can actually be read.
02Temperature and ventilation at the display
Glass separates inside from outside; it does not replace thermal planning. Establish conditions in the installation space and obtain the matching model manual. A DWD annual mean temperature does not prove these conditions.
Next check: confirm mounting orientation, ventilation paths and expected temperatures with the responsible specialist and the model manual.
03Keep prices current and handle failures
24/7 describes the display’s stated duty cycle. It does not answer who stops stale prices, detects a blank display or organizes service in the store.
Next check: test fallback content and restart in the pilot. Assign responsibility for faults and confirm how the display can be reached for service.
Three checks before ordering.Check readability, permitted mounting and failure handling separately. A photo may show readable prices but does not establish an acceptable temperature in the installation space. Also test fallback content and restart with the planned player.
